What this data can't tell you

Google ratings cover everything a shop does. For shops with a taxidermy side or a retail counter, some reviews may not be about deer processing.
30 reviews is a low bar. A shop with 30 reviews at 4.9 isn't proven better than one with 180 at 4.7.
Shops with few or no online reviews, common among Lancaster County's farm butchers, can't appear here. That says nothing about their work.

Method

We limited the list to dedicated deer and wild game processors (not retail butcher counters, whose reviews are mostly about steaks and sandwiches) with at least 30 Google reviews, then ranked by Google rating and, for ties, by number of reviews. Ratings were collected November 3, 2026.
